Our treatments include therapeutic massage, manual therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitative exercise. For a list of techniques, click here. 

Our massage therapy sessions are available in various lengths: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. Each session is tailored to meet your treatment goals and budget. For the first appointment, 60 minutes is recommended. 

Yes, we direct bill most insurance plans for massage therapy services. Please note that we do not offer direct billing for WCB or ICBC claims.  We accept Blue Cross, Canada Life, Desjardins Insurance, Equitable Life, Industrial Alliance, Telus Health, Sunlife, Green Shield, Empire Life, and many more. Note: every plan is different. Please contact your insurance provider for what is covered, and what your deductables and co-pays are, as well as your annual maximum. 

Massage Therapy may also be covered by DVA, RCMP, or MSP ($23). 

Booking an appointment is easy! You can schedule online through our booking link or contact us directly via phone / text or email to arrange your visit. Note: we do not monitor emails on days the clinic is closed and it may take up to 1-2 business days for a reply. Phone messages will be returned by the next business day. We do not monitor social media daily, so please do not send us messages via Messanger as they will not be responded to in a timely manner. 

Treatment frequency depends on your individual condition, goals, and response to therapy. Matthew Longman will discuss a treatment plan that is appropriate for your needs. After ever treatment, Matthew will make recommendations for ongoing treatment, home care, or discharge. 

After your treatment, it is recommended to drink plenty of water, move gently, and allow your body time to rest and recover. Matthew Longman may also suggest stretches, self-care strategies, heat, ice, or alternating heat and cold to help support your treatment results. Please discuss any questions or concerns you may have with Matthew following your appointment.

Some patients may experience mild soreness or fatigue after treatment, which is usually temporary and typically resolves within 48 hours. You should not experience severe pain, bruising, or numbness following your massage therapy treatment. Severe symptoms may be unrelated to massage therapy and should not be ignored. Any new symptoms arising more than 48 hours after treatment are unlikely to be massage-related. If you have concerns or experience unexpected symptoms after your appointment, please contact Matthew Longman at 250-878-0409 for guidance or seek medical attention if needed.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact the clinic as soon as possible so we can accommodate other patients and help you rebook at a convenient time. Your comfort, privacy, and informed consent are always a priority. You may undress to your comfort level, and professional draping will be used throughout the session. During treatment, Matthew will check in regularly regarding pressure, comfort, and your response to treatment, and you are encouraged to communicate at any time.

No. A doctor’s referral is not required to book an appointment with Matthew Longman, although some extended health insurance plans may require one for reimbursement.

Wear comfortable clothing. Patients undress to their own comfort level for treatment, and professional draping is always used to ensure privacy and comfort throughout your appointment.

Yes. Professional draping is used at all times, and only the area being treated will be uncovered during your massage therapy session. Patients may also opt to remain clothed during treatment.

Your first visit with Matthew Longman will begin with a confidential health history review and assessment to better understand your symptoms, health concerns, treatment goals, and any past injuries or medical conditions. Matthew will discuss your treatment plan with you, explain the techniques that may be used, and answer any questions before treatment begins.

Your comfort, privacy, and informed consent are always a priority. You may undress to your comfort level, and professional draping will be used throughout the session. During treatment, Matthew will check in regularly regarding pressure, comfort, and your response to treatment, and you are encouraged to communicate at any time.

Treatment may include therapeutic massage, manual therapy, joint mobilization, rehabilitative techniques, or relaxation-focused care depending on your needs and goals. After your session, Matthew may recommend stretches, self-care strategies, or follow-up treatments to help support your recovery and long-term wellness.

Yes. Armstrong Registered Massage Therapy Clinic welcomes patients from Armstrong, Spallumcheen, Vernon, Enderby, Salmon Arm, and throughout the North Okanagan region. We even have some patients that travel from Lake Country and Kelowna. 

No. A doctor’s referral is not required to book an appointment with Matthew Longman, although some extended health insurance plans may require one for reimbursement.

Wear comfortable clothing. Patients undress to their own comfort level for treatment, and professional draping is always used to ensure privacy and comfort throughout your appointment.

Yes. Professional draping is used at all times, and only the area being treated will be uncovered during your massage therapy session. Patients may also opt to remain clothed during treatment.
